November 2011 is when I first joined Body By Vi & it’s now July 24, 2012 which is 9 months later.
The first 30 days…
…of being on the challenge were super exciting and lots happened to me. I did in fact lose a lot of weight and a lot of my friends and co-workers noticed right away. I’m pretty sure my girlfriend Tenille loved it. She got on the challenge too! I used the transformation kit to lose almost 20 pounds in 30 days, and I was getting all sorts of compliments.
I got pretty excited about really enjoying using a product that not only worked well, but actually really tasted great and I enjoyed using it. There were all sorts of benefits besides losing weight. I’m pretty sure I have IBS and that seemed to disappear when I was drinking the shakes regularly, that was my favorite unexpected side effect. I also have heart burn quite a bit and I didn’t notice it even once while I was on my challenge. I really also did save quite a bit of money when I was drinking the shakes, cause I wasn’t binge eating and stuffing my face with snacks nearly as often.
So naturally as happy as I was with it I promoted it! I initially signed up as a promoter anyways, because I truly felt it was a good opportunity and I proceeded to pound my Facebook with my updates and stories and tried to get people to see the benefits of what I was doing. I even lost a few Facebook friends because of it. They still hang out with me in real life tho
I made money too, good money actually!
I made back $7500 from my initial $499 investment (which included my first truckload of products). My products today however STILL get shipped to my door for free due to having so many customers on their own challenges.
Within 60 days I also did qualify to get the BMW, and I even went through the process of going to the dealership to pick out our BMW. I just wasn’t able to get the financing needed to actually purchase the BMW, truth be told. So I settled for the $300/month cash bonus instead. Things were peachy…
But at about the 5 month mark, I stopped doing everything.
I still drank the shakes, but not nearly as much as I did. I probably drank and still drink about 3-5 shakes per week now, down from 14 I used to have on the Transformation Kit. I’ve gained back about 10-12 pounds of the 17 I’ve lost and I started eating a lot again. My belly fat is slowly winning again.
I stopped trying to get people on board with Body By Vi. I stopped promoting it and updating my Facebook about it. I wasn’t using it, and my free shipments were stock piling at the door.
But I noticed a funny thing happen.
My business actually kept growing. In months 5, 6 and 7 without doing a thing to promote or even use the challenge, my organization continued to grow. I was dumbfounded, but I was also very lucky.
I had one leg Brandon and Holly (who had started off kinda slow and unsure of themselves) find a groove and completely embrace the challenge and the idea of it all and they grew and grew and grew. They have a killer team with Merci and Breanna who also embraced it and they grew huge too. That leg exploded and continues to do so.
But in months 8 and 9 I finally saw my first two months of attrition.
The people in my other 2 legs lost interest, or lost motivation, or maybe they lost ME. I’m not sure, but it’s very likely that I succeeded at inspiring them to join, but failed at inspiring them to continue. And stupid me, I know that true success stories don’t have a long ass story about how they quit. It’s about how they kept going.
I didn’t stop because I got bored, or tired of the shakes or anything that.
To be fully honest and transparent with you tho, I had to hire a lawyer and an accountant to deal with some tax issues I’d been avoiding for a long time and in doing so, it really took a lot of the wind out of my sales. Maybe that’s just an excuse too. Maybe I just got really lazy. I don’t know for sure.
But my money situation went from bad to worse literally over night. Then to top that off, I also got into a head on collision with my truck and totaled it. The money I received from insurance had to go towards bills instead of a new vehicle. So I starting doing the one thing I have been avoiding for so long…
I started looking for a job
I’ve started browsing Kijiji ads like mad trying to find a job, and some security for my money situation. No matter what jobs I found however, I just don’t get excited. All I see is repetition and monotony and low wages and very little holidays and it scares the living shit out of me.
Then I look back over at Brandon & Holly, Kevin & Mel, Krista Lee, Merci and all these folks who are sticking with the Body By Vi vision and what are they doing? They’re flying down to Miami for a massive 20,000 person event called Vitality in order to move forward in what’s super OBVIOUSLY an amazing company. And I commend the heck out of them for their courage and dedication. I’m inspired by them and I want to do it too.
I don’t want a 9-5 job where I don’t really connect with my co-workers, and my boss never sends us to AMAZING places for results we achieve like Visalus does. It’s UNREAL when you see how this company rewards it’s employees for doing well.
- They give you a BMW bonus at $12,500 in sales
- You get a freaking FREE TRIP to the Bahamas/Bermuda or Miami at $40,000 in sales.
- Another FREE TRIP to some amazing tropical destination at $80,000
- And you get a $25,000 BONUS CHECK at $150,000 in sales.
And the best part, those aren’t sales volumes you need to hit by yourself to qualify. It’s the sales volume of your entire team. COMON!
Do you personally know of any other companies that can match THAT!?
I hear and read about a lot of people who say Body By Vi is a scam because it’s a pyramid and an MLM. But it’s not a scam. It’s just a different way than what most people are used to…and if you OPEN YOUR EYES you’ll see that it’s a far better way than 95% of the other options that are out there for you. If you just educate yourself to what’s really going on and what’s really possible you might be more inclined to take a next step towards your own attempt at getting off the hamster wheel.
So here I am, feeling completely overwhelmed at the thought of getting fat, and getting lazy and getting poor again and I have this amazing opportunity sitting right in my lap.
- Yes it’s hard work to lose weight and get healthy and get ripped and look amazing.
- Yes it’s hard work to try and grab 30 seconds of time from people who are always so busy “living/working/playing” to simply present an alternate way.
- Yes it’s hard to convince people to seperate with $499 of their hard earned dollars (that so many will just blow in a bar, or eating out on nice foods)
It’s hard! YES!
But dammit it’s gotta be easier in the long run than being a slave and living paycheck to paycheck just to have a roof over your head and just enough money to get a few nice things for yourself.
It’s time for me to BECOME a HEALTHIER/HAPPIER/RICHER/MORE FREE style of life.
It’s time for me to get back on The Challenge.
It’s time to start setting goals again.
